About Us

Patrick Smith is the founder of Be Relaxed Corporate Housing, a trusted provider of upscale, fully furnished temporary housing across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.


His journey began in 2013 after an unexpected job loss became a turning point. With the encouragement of family and friends, Patrick leaped and launched Be Relaxed, transforming a moment of uncertainty into a mission. What began as a necessity quickly became a passion: creating comfortable, welcoming spaces for people in transition.


Today, over a decade later, Patrick and his team proudly serve corporate travelers, military personnel, and families with move-in-ready homes designed for comfort, quiet, and peace of mind. 


As a proud father of three, Patrick understands the importance of feeling settled and supported during life’s transitions—and he brings that same family-first approach to every home his company provides.


Under Patrick’s leadership, the company has earned a reputation for exceptional service, flexibility, and value, providing a home away from home, exactly when people need it most.

Eric Guinn is the General Manager/Partner of Be Relaxed Corporate Housing.  He has been with Be Relaxed for 5 years but has been in the corporate relocation industry for 30 years.  He has extensive experience working with individuals and corporations, leading the operations and client experience strategy.  


He focuses on developing and growing strategic housing and vendor partnerships for the company throughout the Southeast.  In addition, he is responsible for streamlining operations, quality control and creating an exceptional client experience.  


Prior to joining Be Relaxed, Eric started his career in the hotel and furniture lines of business.  From there, he spent 20 years in operations with the largest privately held corporate relocation company in the country prior to its sale.  


His responsibilities included managing inventory, vendor relationships, budgeting, training and development.  Eric is married with two daughters and enjoys grilling and traveling in his spare time.

 Kim Mitchell is a Service Coordinator at Be Relaxed Corporate Housing.  With 15 years of experience in the corporate housing industry, she began working at Be Relaxed in October 2023.  


She is enthusiastic about providing the best possible service to our clients and guests. 


Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, Jamen, and their four children, and cheering for our favorite sports teams, the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC.  When time permits, she also enjoys trying new recipes.

Tonnette Cash brings over 25 years of experience in corporate housing to the Be Relaxed team. Originally from Cheraw, South Carolina, she’s built a career centered on service, care, and attention to detail.


Since relocating to Charlotte in 2002, Tonnette has become a trusted professional in the industry, valued for her dedication and heart for helping others. A proud mother and grandmother, she finds joy in thrifting, spending time with family, and giving back to her community.


Her work and her life reflect her belief that with faith and perseverance, anything is possible.
