Why are HR teams looking at Rock Hill right now?
On October 7, 2026, Re:Build reported plans to invest about $20 million in a new 130,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Rock Hill.
The project is expected to create 150 jobs in York County, according to Area Development magazine's report that day.
New jobs bring new people to York County.
Some of those hires will need a place to live before they find a house. Most relocation trouble starts when the housing question comes after the start date.
Ask it first.
What 5 questions should HR ask about corporate housing?
- When does the employee need keys? Count backward from the first day of work. Send that date with the family size and any pets.
- What happens if the dates move? Projects shift, and closings slip. Ask what notice applies before you book. Our guests are responsible for the full term of their agreement, and we require 30 days of notice to vacate before the agreement ends. If you are weighing a shorter or longer stay, our guide to choosing 30, 60 or 90 days walks through it.
- What is on the monthly bill? Ask for one simple monthly bill, and ask what it covers. Electric, gas and water may fall under a utility allowance, so the bill is the place to check. Our FAQ page lists the services that may be included.
- Is the home furnished for the whole stay? Ask what "furnished" means. Our fully furnished apartments include a full-size kitchen, full-size appliances, housewares, linens and electronics.
- Who answers when something breaks? Get a name and a number before move-in day. I answer the phone myself at 803-548-4663.
Who is the employee on night one?
Picture an HR manager on a Thursday afternoon. Her new engineer starts Monday. His family is still packing in another state, and he needs one call that ends with an address and a key.
Rock Hill sits in York County, south of Charlotte on I-77. We place people in furnished homes in Charlotte, Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Tega Cay.
Before you choose a home, ask the employee two things: where is the office, and where do their children go to school, if they have any?
My take
I held one job for nine years. Then I lost it. My family told me to open a housing company, so in 2013 I did. I'm a single dad, and I know what a soft landing feels like during a hard transition.
So when you send me an employee, I am holding your company's reputation too. We remove friction so you can breathe.

What else do HR teams ask about corporate housing in Rock Hill?
Is corporate housing different from an extended-stay hotel?
Yes. Our apartments are larger than hotel rooms, with a separate living room, dining room and bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a full-size washer and dryer. For a stay of a month or longer, that usually fits better than a hotel room. The hotel comparison for Charlotte walks through the details.
Can the company be billed directly?
Yes, when you arrange it with us before the stay starts. Ask for one simple monthly bill sent to the company.
Can the employee bring a pet?
Most of our properties allow pets, and a non-refundable pet deposit may apply. Tell us about the pet when you ask about the home.
